Demand for GP appointments is only getting higher, and every week we hear from people who have struggled to access care when they need it.

Those who follow health news in North West London will have seen proposals to introduce new same day access hubs, directing patients to centralised services. But while these changes may be designed to promote faster access, they can also be seen as a radical change to the way primary care services are delivered. This means we need to make time for real public consultation and ask that vital question: what do patients want?
