Health and wellbeing support available for the North Kensington community

Following the Government announcement on the future of Grenfell Tower, we wanted to remind you that support is available.

There are a range of health services available specifically for North Kensington residents. Services are delivered by different parts of the NHS such as GP practices, hospital or community services and local voluntary and community organisations. In the first instance, you can contact your GP practice who will be able to offer help and advice. 

What support services are available?

The Grenfell Health and Wellbeing Service

The Grenfell Health and Wellbeing Service is a specialist, highly confidential NHS service, created to support anyone affected by the Grenfell fire. The service is available in different languages and offers different types of therapies such as talking therapy, arts psychotherapies, bereavement counselling and therapy with children and young people.

Enhanced Health Check

If you live or work in the North Kensington area and are affected by the Grenfell Tower fire, then you are eligible for a free Enhanced Health Check. If you have any concerns about your health, you can undergo these checks to support you and your family in leading a healthier life. 

Enhanced Health Checks are quick and easy to book via your local GP surgery or you can access one in a community setting by calling 07768 271733 (between 9am-5pm) or emailing nhsnwl.grenfellenhancedhealth@nhs.net

Healthier Futures self-care activities

If you live or work in North Kensington and have been affected by the Grenfell Tower fire, you are eligible for free access to Healthier Futures self-care activities. These services can help you to become healthy, live well and take care of the people most important to you.

The self-care activities available for you and your family include exercise and wellbeing classes, cookery classes, health workshops and the Men’s Shed. Activities available for families include gardening. 

Residents can access the full range of Healthier Futures self-care activities by visiting this website, or speaking to their GP practice.
